    Monsanto develops agricultural products to assist farmers in cultivating the land, but we know that in order to build a better future, the world will also benefit from cultivating responsible and motivated youth.

    Monsanto and 4-H have enjoyed a long-standing partnership. Since 2010, Monsanto has contributed $2 million to the National 4-H Council to support volunteer initiatives, where more than 52,600 volunteers received training to support the youth in their clubs.

    To help feed the nearly 2 million hungry people in Illinois, Monsanto, in conjunction with Farm Progress and the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, sponsored the fifth annual America’s Farmers Food Drive at the Farm Progress Show Aug. 27-29 in Decatur, Ill. The food drive collected more than 22,000pounds of food for food pantries in the Decatur area, including Catholic Charities, Northeast Community Fund and the Salvation Army.
